Although Mick Taylor had just joined The Rolling Stones in 1969, his contributions to Let It Bleed were limited since much of the album was already in progress. However, he did play on “Country Honk” (the stripped-down version of Honky Tonk Women) and laid down slide guitar on “Live with Me.”

His real impact came shortly after, as his fluid, bluesy lead guitar would define the band’s next era, particularly on Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St. Still, even with minimal input on Let It Bleed, he was already setting the stage for some of the Stones' most iconic guitar work.
