
"Well, it is a unique situation," Paul Eckloff said when questioned about the role of protecting Mr Trump.
"But it doesn't stand out as anything particularly more difficult than I did in my 23-year career.
"Eventually I was his assistant detail leader – I would say that we did travel quite a bit and he had a very busy schedule.
"And being such a popular, and even polarising figure, made some of the protective operations rather challenging at times."
