Russian state media reported that Putin plans to test the RS-28 Sarmat, known as 'Satan 2,' the world's largest ballistic missile.
The missile, with a speed of 15,880mph and weighing 208 tons, is set to be put on 'combat duty' despite incomplete testing.
While the report was censored, cached versions revealed the intention to test the missile over the South Pole.
The missile, designed for nuclear strikes against NATO countries, has faced delays in testing, with only one confirmed successful test in April 2022.
The plan to deploy the missile on 'combat duty' in December has raised concerns in the West.
