The Bermuda Triangle. While you might think of it as a perfectly triangular zone between Puerto Rico, Florida and Bermuda, the so-called Devil’s Triangle is anything but clearly defined.

For decades, this stretch of almost half a million square miles of ocean has been credited with some of modern history’s greatest mysteries. What is to blame for these disappearances? Did a build up of methane bubbles cause a 540 foot boat to explode? Or was it something more sinister, and more alive, reaching up from the water? Did a cyclone bring down a fleet of Navy bombers or could a wormhole be to blame? Theories range from practical to extraterrestrial– and though scientists have a new theory that debunks suggestions about aliens or the Lost City of Atlantis– all the details that we don’t know makes it tempting to see some truth in how those theories came to be.

But not every mystery is without answer, and today we'll share some of the truths that have been discovered regarding the mysterious triangle.
