JBL is more natural and neutral sounding speaker with superior bass response and extension, better dynamic range, better detail across the range and significantly higher headroom, BUT performance of Microlab B77 must be admired as it is less than 1/3 of price of its studio counterpart. This comparison shows that Microlab is a bit "top heavy" with upper midrange and treble boosted, but overall it is giving great performance here and I would consider it a great option for anyone looking for budget speaker for his desktop system.
