Acquired this relic at a Ham Radio Hamfest. Back in the day, this instrument was designed to test sensitivity of old TV tuners. Now its just a place holder in the life of vintage electronics. Unfortunately, the meter is open and someone in the past drilled & installed a toggle switch. I plan to gut this instrument and convert it to a tube guitar amp. I have located a direct replacement Simpson meter. The toggle switch (under the meter) will be removed & hole filled. Circuit: 6L6 class A amp with tremolo. Plan to utilize the ECB-AT board. I will be reusing the 2 large front panel knobs. I have bent a new aluminum chassis. The stock steel chassis is not useable. Should be a cool project! More will follow soon.
