The Erica Synths Black Octasourse is a powerful modulation device for eurorack modular synthesizers. It’s a low frequency oscillator with eight outputs. Either all similar, but phase shifted waveforms, or 8 unique waveforms simultaneously. It also offers wave-shape morphing and smooth tempo synchronization. So today we’re taking a closer look!

We go over the features of the module. And then we dive into a series of patches. From a simple stereo patch, to interesting tempo synced modulation, to using the Octasource as the heart of a large dynamic patch.
