Umeda, the center of Osaka City, is served by several train lines: JR, subway (Osaka Metro), Hankyu, and Hanshin.
The Hankyu train is convenient for travel to Kyoto, and many people use it for sightseeing. However, for first-time visitors to Kyoto, transferring between Hankyu and JR trains may be a little confusing.
