After its recent album, the Polterngeist project returns with another release, but on the Black Mara label.
On all previous works of the project, we dipped into the atmospheres of various abandoned buildings and field recordings from there: from old Soviet factories to morgues. But now... we're suddenly transported into space. And the first thing you can notice when listening to the new album is the clear inspiration of Hans Giger and the "Alien" movie series.
From the very beginning, the music tells the story of a spaceship and a lone engineer who has lost his entire crew, some of whom died in a crash and others who were killed by unknown alien creatures who infiltrated it. Facing not only serious technical damage but something else, more horrific, he conveys a detailed audio experience of his attempts to survive the death trap in order to return home to Earth... An atmosphere of cold space horror is what awaits him here. Bundles of severed emergency bay wires sparkle in the barely visible dark corridors, and the scrambling of creatures moving through ventilation shafts and elevators makes his blood run cold in his veins. The breast recorder records every detail, occasionally crackling with a strange noise. Radio interference prevents him from picking up the connection with his home, but the hope of rescue does not leave his mind...
