In this video I’ll be trying out the most famous food items of the oldest restaurants in one of the most famous markets of India’s capital city Delhi, Connaught Place. Connaught Place is a market that was built in heart of Delhi during the reign of the British Empire. Now although, India has been a free country since almost 78 years now, the architecture built by the British in Connaught Place is still preserved. In fact, many shops and restaurants that existed in Connaught Place before India’s independence in the year 1947, are still serving delicious food to the citizens of India in the 21st century. Therefore, since India’s 79th Independence Day is around the corner, I decided to try out the most popular food items of all these iconic local restaurants that were established before India’s independence. The most famous food items among the huge variety of dishes served by these restaurants include but are not limited to Chicken Curry, Filter Coffee and the iconic Indian paan. Surprisingly, all the food items were extremely flavourful and unique in their own way. I had a great time trying out these food items.
