Quillette Founding Editor Claire Lehmann has claimed paying for insurance can be a “form of double dipping”.

“If I’m paying money to my insurer and then I’m also paying tax then I’m paying twice … I should only be paying one time,” Ms Lehmann said.

“I’m critical of insurance companies, I think we all know people who have had legitimate claims that have been knocked back.”
