Hardware Jams weekend challenge: Heavenly Pads & Hellish Drums.There is a lot going on in this track. The pads/synths are heavily processed with tape saturation (RC-20) and vinyl noise (iZotope Vinyl).
The drums are a mix of a 2-step break combined with a layer of FM sounds with a trigger based on probability.
There is a layer of strings, horns and piano, all running through the Microcosm for that background etherial texture.
Finally, the vocal is sampled from a Kaira Rae cover of "You were good to me - Jeremy Zucker, Chelsea Cutler cover", which has been sliced, re-pitched and rearranged.
