Just returned from a nice trip in centre Italy, after long visits on historical cities, medieval castles and monumental churches i had the need for creative expression. I had not so much space so i took my Korg Volca Sample "prepared" for the occasion. I loaded (not without troubles) a bounch of basic waveforms (sine, square, saw, supersaw and noises), a few vocals and some 90's styled pads in order to have a complete palette for generate new sounds. The Volca Sample have some simple but effective sample controls like pitch envelope (useful for generate kicks and snares body from a simple sine), amp envelope for hi hats, claps and snares top (i loaded white noises filtered with low pass, band pass and hi pass) and sample start/end to choose different frgments from longer samples. I always had troubles for sound tuning so i tuned al my samples in E with Ableton so i always know which is the note of the various parts (using the pitch quantization). This is the result of my chilly italian nights around Umbria and Marche, a freshy 2step / uk garage mixtape. Enjoy!
