Let’s discuss the Anterior Cervical Corpectomy and Fusion (ACCF), an important surgical procedure that allows for the removal of ventral pathology or anterior pathology, such as disk herniations, bone spurs, and tumors.

We'll explain the decompression it allows, the different types of interbody spacers/grafts used, and how it's fused together. The ACCF is generally reserved for situations where a diskectomy alone is not enough and for the removal of a vertebral body, such as in cases of tumors, traumatic, degenerative or infectious pathologies.

Learn more about this powerful technique in the full chapter on Anterior Cervical Spine Approaches.
