Okay my friends. Here comes something very special. Audi called me a while ago, if I was interested to shoot a unique concept car from the past, somewhere high up in the Austrian Alps. I didnt hesitate a second as it seemed like a great idea. So, a few weeks later, the 2010 Audi E-Tron Spyder concept was standing in front of our lens in Timmeljoch in Austria. It’s really cool to see how Audi was thinking 13 years ago, and what the strategy was. This mid engine sports car, is a plug-in hybrid with a TwinTurbo 3.0 litre TDI engine pushing 300 horses, together with two electric motors mounted at the front axle and producing 88hp/350Nm. This little rocket has a 50:50 weights disctribution and weights only 1450kg. It can drive 1000km on a single tank, and accelerated to 100kmh in 4.4 seconds. What a stunningly cool car, and it’s such a shame that it never made it into production.
