When the time came to come up with an idea for how to put a video together for After The Setting Sun, it didn’t take long to remember the treasure trove of footage taken by our parents on old VHS camcorders going all the way back to the 1980’s that captured so much of the fleeting joy and memory making the defined our formative years. I poured through countless hours of family footage from all of us, and found a combination of innocence, humor and heartbreak in the footage, knowing that so many of these smiling faces had since left us behind. I think of this video and song as a tribute to the memories of our departed, and to the resilience of family and friendship that sustains us all when we face an unknowable future without them. - Matty Watch the video for After The Setting Sun, out now
