The piece has been arranged for solo guitar as an accessible short work for beginners The original form of “Echo” appears to be a simple instrumental work—likely adapted from Haussmann’s dance or vocal repertoire—though no early printed source attributing it precisely is currently identified. It circulates today mainly through educational arrangements rather than in its original Renaissance publication.
