How to Load Your Own Tracks

To import your own tracks into Tribe, you can copy the your music files into the Tribe music folder and launch Tribe. Tribe will then read the content of the music folder and display them in your virtual crate. We currently support mp3, m4a, aac, wav files. We recommend using .mp3 files.

Steps:
- Find your tracks in your personal music folder.
- Copy the track files into the Tribe music folder here: C:\Users\[username]\Music\TribeVR
- Launch Tribe from your Oculus library.
- Go to the Freeplay level.
- Open the virtual crate with your hand controller’s trigger.
- Tribe will read the content of the music library folder and display it for you.
- Scroll down the tracks list using your hand controller’s joystick.
- Grab the track you want and place it on either deck.

Tribe will analyze the track, display the waveform, the beat markers and the BPM. EDM and techno tracks analyze the best. Organic rock music may analyze slightly off. We’re currently implementing a feature that allows you to edit the analyzed beat grid to correct for that.
