We've been working on a song called Dead Love—originally just an idea tacked onto the end of another track we were recording. But as it evolved, it became 90% Lazar’s creation. He wrote most of the lyrics, came up with the beat and melody, and I mainly focused on refining and producing it—so this one is truly his. We re-titled it nvr let me go .
Later note to this description on 21/4/25 even although i was involved in creating and recording this song ' i cant stop listening to it ' his voice is just amazing on this song ' i'd never heard him stretch his voice like this and after this recording i gave him 500% respect ' i could never have hit the notes and the precise timing and delivery lazar hit in this song . what a star ' well done :) it's also his favourite song we've done and i can hear him from the other side of the house singing this in the shower he can fairly belt this one out i'm tellin ya .
Lazar told me he’d been working with a vocal coach and wanted to push his vocal range with this track. On paper, I wasn’t sure how he’d make that happen with this song—but I was wrong. Very wrong. His voice is absolutely brilliant on this.
We have two versions: a strange, lo-fi "tikky takky" demo and this one a polished studio version featuring only Lazar’s vocals.
