About: Aroma di Amore from Belgium is one of the 80's groups well known for unconventional and authentic perspective regarding alternative rock music, also known for their music which collects different styles into an epitome of the "darker" sound of the 80's during the post punk heydays and later on. Their music was not dark by intention, but they belonged to a larger common "indigenous" sound along with other bands of Belgium and the Netherlands, creating an original and uncompromising proposal versus the British "domination" of post punk and new wave. Yet Aroma di Amore survived with their music and overcame the narrow geographical boundaries, even though their insistence in using Dutch lyrics, they became well known, even a cult band of the genre.
