As spring slowly gives way to summer, we’re back with another week full of steady progress and problem-solving. The fencing for our new vegetable garden is now complete, and Philippe and my dad begin laying out the semi-raised beds. The countdown to planting is officially on!

Meanwhile, we take you uphill to install a new Reolink camera in a spot we suspect is a popular wildlife path between our property and our neighbors’. Fingers crossed it captures something exciting over the next few weeks!

Back at the workshop, Philippe returns to the Thwaites dumper. With a fuel pump swap, injector repairs, and a few stubborn leaks finally fixed, it’s starting to look like we’re nearing the finish line. There’s still some work to do, but the engine is sounding better than ever and we may soon have this old machine back in action.
