Not long ago, James and his younger brother Ian Jeffrey Charles weren’t on good terms. In an interview with Cosmopolitan in 2023, James revealed that Ian had stopped talking to him following allegations that James had sent lewd pictures and inappropriate messages to two then-16-year-old fans, to which James apologised for and said he thought they were 18.
At the time of the interview, James said it had been two years since the two last spoke.

However, it seems the brothers have since made amends, as seen in this video James posted of him playing his single ‘Can We Just Be Friends’ to Ian in April 2024. Ian commented on the video saying ‘love you endlessly’. James first revealed his brother to his followers back in 2018, in a video where he got Ian to do his makeup.

The two went onto film numerous videos together and even started their own series called ‘Brother and Sister.’But Ian is a success in his own right, creating a name for himself in the modelling industry. After moving from LA to New York, Ian was signed to IMG models and has gone on to walk for the likes of Moschino, Gucci, DSquared and Louis Vuitton just to name a few.

Before becoming a model, Ian was obviously inspired by his brother and decided to pursue his own social media career, creating his own channel and posting his first video in 2021. He eventually realised YouTube wasn’t for him, which is when he moved to New York to pursue modelling.
It was around this time that the model started leaning more into his passion for fashion, telling MOOD magazine: ‘Ever since I was a kid I have been intrigued with expressing myself through my clothing.
It wasn’t until the past few years that I've been comfortable enough to wear what I truly enjoy.’ Now Ian’s style is a lot different to what it was back in 2018, as the model flaunts more bold and edgy outfits.

“Honestly half of my clothes are women’s clothes simply because they fit the best, I got a crop top, pair of heels, bell bottoms, eyeliner on the face, a little purse, can’t hurt anyone”.

As for the models dating life, he and influencer Loren Gray announced they were dating just before 2018.
“Well I was friends with James, his brother already. So we met through James, and the first time we met he was really quiet and turns out he had this crush on me and I had no idea”
The two split just under a year later and Ian hasn’t been vocal about his dating life since. As for his recent modelling endeavours, it doesn’t seem he is slowing down as he continues to grace runways and magazine covers. #jamescharles #ianjeffrey #lorengray #lgbtq #model #siblingcheck
