An Alberta Queen's Bench justice ruled a serial romance scammer a dangerous offender on Friday, labelling him a "pathological liar" and a "serial fraudster." The man was found guilty of defrauding victims of nearly $200,000 at his Edmonton trial.

Justice Melanie Hayes-Richard said she believes the man, Jeffrey Paul Kent, won't change his behaviour, which was part of her reason for handing him a prison sentence with no end date.
