A man was driving by when he saw an old woman doing recycling. He gave two empty bottles to the old woman and she thanked him several times. The man asked the old woman if she does this everyday, she said yes because if she doesn't, she won't be able to eat.
The man stopped the car and got off to ask the old woman about herself. He learned that she's 72 years old. Lives alone. And does recycling to barely scratch together a living.
He asked if he could visit her home. She agreed. The old woman took him to a countryside and he discovered garbage littered all around her property.
He started bringing bags of rice and vegetables to her when she was shocked by the gesture. She stopped, sobbing. The man had to comfort her. Before leaving, the man gave the old woman some money to which the old woman said that she can't ever forget them.
The man told the old woman that from now on, she doesn't need to worry about survival anymore. They'll take care of her.
This man has helped a lot of old people. He frequently revisit old people's homes to make sure they are alright. So I believe him when he said that he'll take care of her from now on. He won't let her starve. He and his team will be checking up on her from time to time and provide her with the necessary help that she needs.
Please be kinder to those around you. This world is too cruel to not try to balance it with some kindness.
