In April 1967, ITN's John Edwards reported from the San Francisco district of Haight-Ashbury, which had recently become the centre of the new hippie movement. Recorded just before the Summer of Love, during which some 100,000 people from across America would descend on Haight-Ashbury, Edwards' report serves as an invaluable historical document. Observing the clothes, the habits, and the happenings, Edwards made a report aimed to understand the meaning of the movement that would come to define the era.
