Despite previously insisting they were just friends, Meryl Streep, 75, and Martin Short, 74, have reportedly been dating for well over a year.

According to Page Six, their romance “took them by surprise,” as neither was looking for a relationship when they first got together. Insiders say their families and friends “absolutely approve” and find them “adorable together.”

The Only Murders in the Building co-stars first sparked dating rumors after multiple outings in early 2024, even holding hands at an event last August.

While they initially denied any romance, sources claim their relationship was the “worst kept secret” on set.
