Who’s likely to be the villain in Sonic 4? With Knuckles as the villain in Sonic 2 and Shadow in Sonic 3, a lot of people think Silver might take the role in Sonic 4. While I get the excitement around Silver, I’d actually prefer if he wasn’t the main villain. Many fans are rooting for Metal Sonic, and honestly, I’d love to see a mix of Metal Sonic and Metal Overlord from Sonic Heroes. If you’re unfamiliar, Silver is a time-traveling hedgehog from 200 years in the future, with telekinetic powers that let him move things with his mind. He first appeared in Sonic ‘06 as an instigator, While Silver would be an interesting addition to the Sonic franchise, I’m kind of over the “villain-turned-hero” storyline. We’ve seen it with Knuckles, and we’ll probably see it with Shadow since they aren’t exactly enemies in the long run. If Silver joins, it’d be cool to see him as an ally from the start. Instead, let’s stick with actual villains, like Metal Sonic, Chaos, or even Eggman, who stay villains for good. Then maybe later, we could bring in characters like Blaze with a fresh take.
