American musician Larry Knechtel was a vital member of the Wrecking Crew. He won a Grammy Award for his piano performance on Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water.' Gifted with perfect pitch, he transcended sheet music to play by ear, becoming a legendary session musician who contributed to countless hit songs of the 70s.
