56 - Digging a Trench to Combat the Rain & Installing the Mammotion Yuka 2000!

Sometimes I feel like a weather reporter, always talking about it, but the weather plays such a huge role in getting the big job behind the barns done! This week started off sunny, so Philippe was able to get a few good hours of digging in each day. The section left to dig is no longer connected to the hill, so it has less groundwater to soften it up, making the work a bit slower. But as you know by now, Philippe isn’t one to shy away from hard work.

A fun discovery, though: we found a fresh spring in the corner near the old barn! As we prepare for the weather to take a turn, Philippe dug a trench along the excavation site, hoping that most of the rainwater will collect there instead of turning the area into a muddy swimming pool.
