Then, she asked if any of them have big appetites saying she wants to take them to the buffet. Soon, many workers volunteered. And she took 3 of them to her car.
These workers have been trying to find jobs but the work often isn't steady. This could have a job this month but the next month, when the project was done, they had to scramble and find another job.
The lady explained to the workers that due to her limited appetite, she always lose money in buffets. But it was really an excuse to treat the workers to a meal where they can eat to their hearts' content.
There, they got to know each other a bit better. As they ate. The worker on the far right said taht he owes a lot of money due to being scammed when he was in his 20s. And he's still trying to pay it off. The court was of no use.
Other workers are also in their 50s, one man has a child in school. They often take up dangerous jobs that no one wanted because they need the money. When asked if they were ever afraid, the workers explained that they had no choice. As they have families to raise.
This lady was compassionate and understanding. She probably provided these men the most filling meal they've had in ages. She dropped them off at the same place and wished them well.
