The MoonTrap system is a stage in the development of the more sophisticated and efficient SatTrap system. This system is shown in my video at the end of the film. It has been patented in the USA, Great Britain, France, Germany and the CIS. The German patent is still valid, and the other patents I canceled for financial reasons. Thus, the MoonTrap project, as part of the SatTrap project, has global novelty, inventive step and industrial applicability, according to the findings of patent examination, both in the New World and the Old World.
The MoonTrap system (as part of the orbital material collector) is patented in Germany. European Patent No. 2 390 188 – part of Germany No. 60 2010 016 793.3 – Method For Delivering Cargoes Into Space And A System For Implementation Of Same. The patent is valid until 2030.

The US President called on NASA Director James Brydenstein some time ago to consider alternative moon exploration projects. The Moontrap project is the sought after project to drastically reduce the cost of the US lunar base.
Moontrap system - technology for creating a lunar base. It reduces landing costs by 3–7 times and. The result is achieved due to the use of an external braking medium, regolith, instead of fuel reserves during landing. The bottom line is that a certain part of the cargo (metals and some liquids) does not deteriorate during shock landing. For such cargoes, the landing stage and rocket fuel reserves for braking can be excluded. This will increase the mass of goods by 4–7 times. Accordingly, the delivery price will decrease. 3D printers will print the required designs.
