The project of musician Ruslan Akimov from Siberia is dedicated to the musical interpretation of Russian, Slavic myths and epics. SADKO performs original music in its own unique style of Gusli Ambient (also influenced by such genres as Dark Folk, Dark Ambient, etc.). Sadko-project is named in honor of the hero of the epics of the Novgorod cycle.
The gusli is one of the most ancient musical instruments on Earth. it is believed that it is more than one and a half thousand years old. This tool is really a great legacy of old Russian art. In addition , it is believed that the Slavic gusli, and the Finnish Kantele and similar, related instruments.
