Day 2 of the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach did not disapoint! The Men’s Opening Round kicked off with big performances from past Bells winner and World Champ Italo Ferreira, plus an explosive showing from CT rookie Al Cleland Jr. Heavy hitters like Jack Robinson, Jordy Smith, and Kanoa Igarashi also delivered, edging closer to the chance to ring the Bell. 

The pressure turned up as the Elimination Round hit for both men and women. Luana Silva and Bettylou Sakura Johnson rose to the occasion, navigating the heat and the looming Mid-season Cut with style. On the men’s side, clutch wins from Matthew McGillivray, Alejo Muniz, and Marco Mignot kept their Aussie campaigns alive. While Heat 2 was forfeited following Ramzi Boukhiam’s injury in the Opening Round. 

With spots on the line and the race heating up, the path to a major result in the Aussie Treble is wide open. Who will rise? Stay tuned.
