Rasgueados are "traditionally" executed with the thumb resting on the low E string and played with a loose, relaxed hand. Old school flamenco guitar masters seemed to have this one thing in common. Also all the "how to play flamenco" instruction books I have seen teach the same way to play rasgueados. Straight thumb and loose, relaxed fingers. Modem flamenco guitar players, especially since the Internet came on the scene, seem to favor bending the thumb. Which one do you use?
