📲 Subscribe to @olympics: Irene Karlijn "Ireen" Wüst is a retired Dutch speed skater. Since her Olympic debut in 2006, Wüst has won six Olympic gold medals and holds more than 20 world titles in all-round and individual distances. Her greatest achievements came in the 1500 meters and 3000 meters.
At the 2022 Winter Olympics, she secured a gold medal in the 1500 meters, setting a new Olympic record and becoming the first athlete to achieve individual gold medals at five different Olympics.
