While autumn is the best season to chase the Northern Lights, it rained most of the week I was in Rovaniemi.

Statistically, being in the Arctic Circle, I was guaranteed to see the lights at least once so I hopped in a Defender & headed west towards the Swedish border to escape the incessant rain in Finland.

After escaping the clouds, the Northern Lights suddenly appeared in front of me, along with a crescent moon and the Milky Way above me. What a combo!

Being in dark skies, I pushed my camera to the extreme, especially for video content.

Super impressed with @SonyAlphaUniverse a7Siii’s capabilities!

To ensure I captured the lights, I paired the body with the @sigmaphoto 14mm f1.4 lens for this trip.
