Sky News host James Macpherson says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will likely take “encouragement” from Western Australia’s Labor election victory.

“Anthony Albanese was meant to have called an election this weekend until a cyclone blew away his plans,” Mr Morrow said.

“It was not all bad news though for the PM he would have taken some encouragement from yesterday’s West Australian election result.”
