Silverbox is a tribute to Roland's legendary TB-303 Bass Synthesizer and the spirit of the "Summer of Love," blending the hypnotic rhythms of Acid Goa trance.
The TB-303 was a small, quirky bass synthesizer released in the early 1980s. Originally designed to mimic a bass guitar, it didn’t catch on right away. But when electronic music pioneers like Phuture, a group from Chicago, USA, used it in tracks like Acid Tracks (1987), its squelchy, hypnotic sound transformed it into an icon. The 303’s unique acid lines became the backbone of acid house and techno, shaping the underground dance scene forever.
The "Summer of Love" was a cultural movement that happened in the late 1980s, primarily in the United Kingdom. It marked a time when people came together to celebrate love, unity, and electronic dance music at raves, clubs, and festivals. It was all about freedom, connection, and the magic of acid house.
