In this new episode of Defender Of The Riff, Knotfest's Daniel Dekay is joined by hardcore punks Drain's guitar hero Cody Chavez to dive deep into Cody's musical upbringing, his first and current loves and how Drain have become the leading band in the scene they belong to.

In this segment, Cody reveals when and how he first heard heavy music that he calls "typical dad rock music", with his own father introducing him to bands like KISS, Ozzy Osbourne and Scorpions, and how these acts influenced his own desires to play in a heavy band himself.
