✨The nervous system can react to mild triggers of anxiety in the same way it would react to life-threatening situations.

✨This happens because your nervous system, for whatever reason, is extra sensitive, so it gets triggered more easily. When that happens, it’s hard to tell the difference between actual danger and the sensations your body associates with anxiety because it treats them all like threats. So, even normal levels of anxiety can set off a response that feels as intense as pure fear.
✨This can be really distressing and even debilitating in daily life. But there’s a way out. First, you need to learn how to soothe your nervous system and do it consistently. Second, you need to deal with your triggers differently. Third, develop a new relationship with your anxious thoughts and manage them differently. Fourth, it’s crucial to address the underlying reasons for this heightened sensitivity.
