The Ontario Warriors will play for a spot in the Division 2 State Final Four after a powerful offensive output pushes them past St. Marys Memorial 12-6.The Warriors (15-14) started the game off with a bang sending 11 batters to the plate to build a 6-0 lead, but the Roughriders (15-14) quickly answered scoring four times in the bottom of the inning on 5 walks, a hit-by-pitch, and a double to make it 6-4 after one.
St. Marys Memorial then tied the game in the second plating two without recording a hit as they capitalized on two errors, another hit-by-pitch, and a wild pitch to tie things at 6.
Ontario starter Carter Weaver then settled not allowing another runner to cross in his three innings on the mound. Carter Walters then came in and threw four scoreless innings allowing one hit.
When Walters came to the mound for his first inning of relief his offense gave him a six-run advantage as they plated six in the top of the fourth after sending ten batters to the plate.
The Warriors will face D2 State #4 Defiance, who needed a late rally to defeat Bay 4-3, on Friday at 5:00 back at Carter Park in Bowling Green.
