There's nothing like waking up next to an epic alpine lake! It didn't take long for my morning reverie to turn into a brutally long climb to Dick's Pass, which is over 9000'. The hike seemed a lot harder going up counterclockwise this year. (Last year, I was hiking the Tahoe Rim Trail clockwise.)We finally made it and enjoyed amazing views on the way down towards Suzie Lake. Then the hail caought up with us!
