This video lecture clip from the course RELIGION, ART, AND APOCALYPSE explores the history and teachings of the Bahá’í Faith – a modern religion conceived in the middle of the nineteenth century in Persia (nowadays Iran). In part one, we discuss the lives of the twin prophets of the Faith – the Báb (born ʿAlí Muḥammad; 1819–1850) and Baháʼu'lláh (born Ḥusayn-ʻAlí; 1817–1892). We also analyze the so-called "three unities" – the unity of God, the unity of religions, and the unity of humanity. The lecture was delivered in the Summer of 2018 at the University of the Arts in Philadelphia.
