Season 3, Episode 8: Gordon travels to Newbury Park in Southern California to Mexican restaurant Mama Ritas. Owner Laura ran an incredibly successful catering business for years before transferring her skills to running a restaurant, but she has failed to grasp that the two things are very different beasts.

Season 3, Episode 9: Gordon visits Anna Vincenzo's, an Italian restaurant in Boca Raton, Florida. Owner CeCe opened up the restaurant with the help of her father in 2001. Things were going well up until two years ago when the business started to slow down and CeCe is puzzled about what went wrong. Gordon tries to rescue the failing business but is shocked to discover CeCe has lost her way in the kitchen.
