Drilling out a 4" hole in our subfloor when there is already a 2" hole. This issue is common where the given pilot hole area is too big and would cause the saw to bounce all over and not be a nice cut. This option of cutting out the drywall of the perfect 4'' hole then placing that guide on the floor where you want this hole to be is a perfect option.
