Large organizations that have tens, dozen, or hundreds of global plants or sites have difficulty effectively managing their security. Each site typically tries to run security its own way with a "tower" for vulnerability management, a "tower" for network intrusion, etc. What these companies need is an integrated perspective to see every asset in every environment and know exactly whether its "red" or "green". This provides insight into whether true progress is being made against an organization's OT security maturity posture and report on it to insurers, boards of directors, compliance, etc.
The most important part here is being able to act on this data, which is something we call OT Systems Management.
