Former foreign affairs minister Alexander Downer has slammed the “anti-Trump narrative”.

Mr Downer told Sky News Australia that people around the world believe Donald Trump is an isolationist who will “withdraw behind America’s borders”.

“It didn’t happen during his first term, and it won’t happen during this term.”
