In this episode, two disturbing cases are investigated. In Hamilton, Ohio, the severed remains of Cheryl Durkin are discovered in the Miami River, leading detectives to uncover her tragic death at the hands of James Lawson, a man she had known. With the help of her family, investigators find her missing body, and Lawson is later convicted of the crime. In San Diego, the disfigured body of Misty Gear is found with severed fingers in a dumpster, linked to her roommate, Calvin Parker. Through forensic evidence, including DNA and tool markings, Parker is arrested after admitting to harming Misty during a violent altercation. Both cases emphasize the critical role of forensic science in solving complex crimes.
