VAN BUILD Episode 14:
FULLY OPERATIONAL VAN SHOWER with TOILET/ STORAGE/DINING AREA🚐 🚿

Hi, We’re Brianne and Ben, with our two dogs Bella and Bucky. This episode of our Van Build Series we will show you the steps we took to create our FULL BATHROOM in our VAN which includes a toilet and dining area using an AS SEEN ON TV PRODUCT!!

1. On the previous episode, we laid down our shower floor and covered our drain hole. Once that was in place we sealed it using DAP Alex Fast Dry Latex Caulk & Silicone. We used this same fast dry caulk & silicone to seal off all edges, corners, cracks, etc.

2. Once the caulk & silicone dried, we put flex seal tape along all lower edges for extra protection against the water since this area would experience the most water.

3. Flex Seal Liquid was then applied to all corners, cracks, and edges. We let this sit for a 24 hour period before adding an additional layer to cover the entire wall, bench, and seat area.
*letting it sit to dry for 24 hours is recommended*
We applied SEVERAL coats to our walls, seats, and benches. This was done by choice not because of the product!

For our entire shower floor to ceiling we used approximately 1 and a half gallons of Flex Seal. This covered multiple coats throughout the entire shower area.

4. Next, we installed our bed platform (which we previously made in an earlier episode) and attached our TABLE drawer which will serve as our eating/dining area in the van. This was made with basic drawer slides and and box we created and bolted to our bed platform.

5. Lastly, we installed our Stoett Retractable Nautilus Shower Doors. These products are made to size and once purchased CANNOT be returned. When purchasing this product be sure that your measurements are 100% accurate!
In our shower we have doors on both sides, this allows for more privacy when using the bathroom and keeps the water centralized while showering.

6. In order to access the storage under our bench seats and keep them completely dry, we installed marine boat deck hatch access doors.

AND FINALLY WE HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONAL BATHROOM/SHOWER/DINING AREA IN OUR TINY HOME ON WHEELS!!
