Snow White (2025) Is Just Another Boring Disney Remake...Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the laziest of them all? That’d be Disney, the studio that keeps recycling old classics instead of making new hits. This time, they’ve gone back to their very first animated film—Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1937). The result? Heigh-ho-hum. The original was a charming, groundbreaking classic, but this live-action remake is forgettable and formulaic. Director Marc Webb and writer Erin Cressida Wilson update Snow White into a typical modern Disney flick. The evil queen is now a tyrant forcing men into her army, and Snow White has to save the kingdom instead of just finding love. Zegler brings some edge to Snow, and Gadot is fun as the vain villain, but Prince Charming is replaced by a bland pauper (Andrew Burnap). Worst of all? The dwarfs are creepy, animated lawn gnomes with zero charm. The only saving grace is the music—especially Snow’s new song, Waiting on a Wish. Too bad it’s wasted on another unnecessary remake.
